AITA I got a warning at work because I tried to catch the person who kept stealing my lunch and it turned out to be my manager. She got a reaction and had to go to the hospital.

If it were me, I would have just asked the office collectively a long time ago who's been eating my food. It's better to approach these things face to face, instead of writing passive aggressive notes on your lunchbox. No one cares, and both women sound like they're less than mature.

The protagonist is kind of an idiot for sharing the truth about “her side of the story.” She could have said anything else, she didn't have to admit to malicious intent or sabotaging revenge. She basically admitted to trying to harm her coworker, instead of just pretending like she brought the pepper for herself. Not the brightest tool in the shed.

Woman sabotages coworker who’s stealing her lunch by putting cayenne pepper in the food, boss takes coworker’s side, despite her being the thief: “I don’t see how I’m the bad guy for messing with my own food”
Coworkers play a huge role in our lives whether we like it or not. We're at work for so many hours a day that it's almost like our second home. I know for myself, I have nearly 12 hours between the time I leave my house for work and when I get home, so it's definitely a second home to me. I have my desk trinkets there, sentimental things, and even my favorite cat mug that my sister got me for Christmas. I just didn't see the point in using it at home since I'm rarely there.
Being at work for so long also makes me feel like my coworkers know more about my life than some of my friends. It's such a strange bubble to go to work and spend so many hours a day with certain people, but you go home and don't really see them outside of work. We all have our bestie coworker, who we can confide in and get advice from. We have the coworkers who we always manage to have the weirdest, most awkward conversations with. And we definitely all have the coworker that we can't stand, the coworker we hate.
In the story below, the protagonist has some beef with a coworker, and she's going to find out who it is if it's the last thing she does.
